Prof. Michał Mochocki

Associate Professor at the University of Gdansk, game writer at False Prophet, educator for games edu-programmes since 2013. His unhealthy passion for historical settings and cultural heritage makes him say: "In games, history has a future". 

Magdalena Cielecka, PhD

A game developer with over ten years of experience as a producer. Worked on adventure games such as Grim Legends series, Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love and a narrative RPG called Gamedec. Currently holding the position of Head of Production at Anshar Studios. Doctor of Humanities with a thesis on dialogue structures in video games, game studies scholar and an educator. For over ten years she was a lecturer in the field of Game Design at the Jagiellonian University and Tischner European University (currently part of SWPS University) in Kraków. In the years 2019-2022 she was also serving as deputy dean and scientific coordinator of the Game Design program at Tischner European University. Co-organizer of six international conferences in the field of Game Studies in Krakow and Katowice. Curator of the videogame section of the Ars Independent festival since 2024, member of the Digital Dragons Program Board and juror of the CEEGA competition for 5 years. In 2025 received a special recognition award at Digital Dragons Awards ceremony. 

Jakub Bukała, PhD

CEO, project leader, producer, programmer and game designer at Serious Sim. PhD in computational mechanics, but left academia to make video games and teach academic students in that field. Wrote his first game in a Polish programming language, Zdzich, in 2004. Has been developing games in Unity since 2015. Lead developer of Radio Commander and Heading Out, as well as a dozen smaller projects. Lecturer in game development at the Warsaw Film School.

Jakub Marszałkowski, PhD

He developed online strategy games in different positions for over 15 years. Now is one of the founders and Board Members of the Indie Games Poland sector organization, as well as, the head of the Game Industry Conference in Poznań. Researcher and lecturer at the Institute of Computing Science at the Poznan University of Technology. His current research interests are AI and Machine Learning for optimization of game production. Regularly serving as a spokesperson for the Polish game industry or even CEE region. Is the main author of a key study on the industry "The Game Industry of Poland", since 2020.

Paweł Schreiber, PhD

He works as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Literature at the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, Poland. His main research interests include historical drama, interactive fiction, and video game narrative, with particular emphasis on the relationship between narrative and space. He has also worked as a theatre and video game critic, and has co-curated several festivals devoted to games and digital culture in general (Digital Cultures, Games for Impact).

Rafał Szrajber, PhD

Łódź native, architect, designer, and professor at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and Lodz University of Technology. His research focuses on architecture in video games, game design as a creative process, and the use of local heritage in new media as a way to build local value and identity. In the virtual realm, he explores the relationship between space and the human being, documenting his virtual expeditions in the project PHOTOmodeBOOK. An ambassador for game industry education and inter-university collaboration, evangelist and co-organizer of the ZTGK Challenge, and creator of the artistic track Game Graphics Contest. Explorer of the underground world of Steam Rift. Co-creator of the concept for the EC1 Comics and Interactive Narrative Center in Łódź. Founder of GAMETOBER – an October showcase of video games and game-related artistic creations in art galleries.

Damian Gałuszka, PhD

Sciologist interested in socio-technological phenomena, with particular emphasis on digital solutions (video games, VR, AI, automation). He is a graduate of the AGH University of Science and Technology, the Jagiellonian University, and the Collegium Invisibile association. He is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Humanities of the AGH University of Science and Technology, and a collaborator with the Virtual Reality and Games Research Laboratory (Edu VR Game Lab) . He has participated in numerous conferences, both Polish and international. He is the author of dozens of scientific texts, including pioneering monographs ("Video Games in the Family Environment..." and "Virtual Autumn of Life..." – available for free download at www.grywrodzinie.pl). He co-organizes events, including scientific conferences, discussions, and workshops. He has received awards for his achievements from the Minister of Science and the Polish Sociological Association, among others.
He regularly collaborates with commercial entities and non-governmental institutions. He assists in the preparation and implementation of research and reports, gives lectures, and conducts workshops related to the topics covered in his research.

Maciej Miąsik

One of the pioneers of the Polish video game industry. Game designer, programmer, producer, sound designer. Co-creator of Electro Body (aka Electro Man), the first Polish commercial game for PCs. He worked on the first Polish game - Fire Fight - for the entertainment giant Electronic Arts. At the turn of the century, he created a popular series of adventure games featuring live actors, which gained popularity across multiple continents. He was Head of Production for the first game in The Witcher series. Currently, he creates smaller-scale projects. Actively involved in industry education, he has been teaching at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology and Warsaw Film School since 2012, co-creating the Video Game Development course. Member of the program committees of the most important national industry conferences - GIC and Digital Dragons. A longtime independent expert for the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in Brussels. Active in the Indie Games Poland Foundation.

Jakub Wójcik

One of the founders and the Executive Chairman of the Indie Games Poland Foundation which was established to support Polish game developers. The Foundation helps creators gain industry knowledge, build their brands, and promote and sell their games.
Founder of better. gaming agency – a company that supports developers, publishers, and distributors with PR, marketing, consulting, and business development. Previously, responsible for business development and project selection at Star Drifters – a video game developer, publisher, and incubator for independent creators. In 2017, he was honored with the Special Recognition Award of the Year for his contributions to the growth of the gaming industry. He also created 1ndie World, the largest Polish portal focused on indie games. He’s been involved in the video game industry for many years. Back in 2013, He launched Games Rage, the first Polish “pay what you want” indie game bundle.

Marta Fijak

Making games since 2013. With a master’s in experimental biology and an engineering degree in computer science, she decided to dedicate her life to games instead. Tried every form of game development, from basement indie with 20 players to a BAFTA-nominated game with ~2 million players, to F2P with ~10 million players. Has been a gameplay programmer, system and technical designer, and eventually a lead designer and a creative director. 
Currently, she's a Lead Game Designer at Techland and teaches game design at the Warsaw Film School. She's the co-author of "How and Why We Make Games: The Creative Confusion" .

Mateusz Witczak

Critic, columnist, and journalist, for many years member of the editorial team of “CD-Action”. Former editor-in-chief of the PolskiGamedev.pl portal & magazine. His work has appeared in, among others, “Play”, “PC Format”, “Playbox”, “PIXEL”, “Świat Wiedzy” and “Kawaii”, as well as in WP, Interia, Onet, Krytyka Polityczna and OKO.Press. Winner of the Bauer Publishing Journalists’ Award and the Special Recognition Award by Digital Dragons. Conference programmer and host, including at Poznań Game Arena, CD Action Expo, and Warsaw Gamedev Days. He collaborates with Dwutygodnik, “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Polityka” and “Replika”, writing about digital culture, as well as queer issues, exclusion, politics, and human rights.
