Educational Partners

Student clubs are vibrant hubs of passion and creativity. They organize events, expand their knowledge, and bring together people with shared interests. Their voice is crucial in shaping the future of education and the video games industry.

Game Dude

Warsaw Film School

Student organization affiliated with the Video Game Development specialization.
We’re building a community of students united by their passion for games, creativity, and a drive to collaborate. We organize workshops, meetings with industry experts, and public events such as Made by Students: Game Expo and Warsaw Game Jam. We support and promote student projects, showing that the creativity of young people is an integral part of video game culture. We also care about community building - creating a space for sharing experiences, gaining new skills, and networking within the industry.
Our priorities:

  • Support student development through learning, practice, and collaboration,

  • Connect people from different disciplines — from programming and art to design, narrative, and sound,

  • Promote student creativity in both academic and professional environments,

  • Create events that provide real-world experience and inspire students to take action.

GameDec

Kazimierz Wielki University, Bydgoszcz

The main goals of the Circle (also known as KNTGameDec or KNTG) are to promote the image of video games as a legitimate academic medium and to disseminate knowledge on game-related topics. As members and active students, we support education and development - both individual and collective - through various academic, university, and industry activities. We value openness, engagement, and creativity. Our group supports student growth and actively participates in university life through social and scientific initiatives.
KNTGameDec was founded in March 2023 and has since organized numerous conferences and academic meetings. One of its flagship projects is the Indie Festival (Festiwal Indyków), which gathers communities every year and focuses on independent games. The next edition of the Festival will take place on December 1–2, 2025, at the Kazimierz Wielki University Library in Bydgoszcz.
Other initiatives we have organized include:

  • Project “Dziadziuś”, created for the University of the Third Age — an educational campaign about AI and the risks it poses, particularly to older adults;

  • Game design workshops at Młyny Rothera and in Bydgoszcz high schools, where our members discussed the game development industry and taught students about Jesse Schell’s elemental tetrad through hands-on activities;

  • MAGIC Circle, a radio show broadcast on Radio Uniwersytet;

  • and “H2O: Prologue”, a game we designed and developed entirely on our own.

We are active participants in industry events, academic conferences, and digital game jams, which over the years have led to close collaborations with game creators, researchers, institutions, and student organizations.

ALEA

University of Warsaw

Student organization based at the Faculty of “Artes Liberales” of the University of Warsaw, dedicated to bringing together students interested in the study of games as a medium, with a particular focus on digital games. For over six years, we have been analyzing the role of games in contemporary culture and promoting the idea of thinking about video games not only as products but also as a fundamental part of everyday modern experience.

We pursue our goals on three levels:

  • Local, by organizing meetings and events at our faculty,

  • National, through collaboration with other game studies student organizations and participation in academic events,

  • International, through active presence at conferences and by publishing scholarly articles.
